The Chinese market provides a platform to explore competitive opportunities for introducing self-service technology. Also, the fast growing Chinese economy has focused on the process of globalisation which has led to an increase in the practice of usability and user experience methods (Liu et al. 2005 and Wang 2003). Three user studies will be presented with a focus on various financial self-service technologies for Chinese customer. The paper begins with a brief introduction to self-services solutions and their gradual growth in the financial market.
