Thus in result it depends on permeability of cement matrix. For all tested cements it was observed, that higher content of fly ash (both calcareous and siliceous) in cement composition results in greater range of carbonation depth.
However less construction time reduces the duration of emissions. Studies assume that the building processes-related carbon dioxide CO2-emissions from open cut job sites are 3-times higher than those of the trenchless sites (GSTT 2011). Figure 6 shows the results of a scientific study from Austria, which comes to a similar conclusion. Gypsum as a controller of setting time were added in an amount to obtain a stable content of SO3, at the level of 2,81%. Physical properties of cements components are presented in Table 2, while chemical composition in Table 3. 4 TEST RESULTS AND DISCUSSION In the first stage of research program physical and mechanical properties of tested cements and mortars were evaluated. Results are presented properly in Table 5 and in the Figure 2.
