Think carefully where to site different kinds of exhibition. Take care to cluster your stands sensitively, taking account of whether a stand will attract significant numbers of browsers (especially book stands) or whether individuals may prefer a quieter location with opportunity for more one-toone discussion. Remember that publishers scout for new authors at academic conferences, so you may do everyone a favour locating academic posters where the publishers can see them without straying far from their own stand.
As a fallback, advise your registration staff to inform you when they arrive, so you can make contact with them before they disappear into a heaving throng of delegates. The wrong one What happened?
