While ‘digital’ and ‘analogue’ are familiar terms in the computer world, two alternative terms are often used loosely in the computer communications world: baseband and broadband. The looseness of usage comes from the fact that these terms have precise meanings in the telecommunications world, referring to the way in which frequency bands are used.
